Aroma visualization from community tastings
Saint James Cuvée 1765
Sip it neat and you get a dry, woody agricole leaning hard on leather, tobacco and oak, with cinnamon and black pepper poking through. It reads intense for 42%. Several tasters call it round and clean but wish for more fruit — and a couple reach for it to build an old fashioned rather than sip it slow.

Most helpful positive review
Surprising for Saint James, clearly more complex. Good ageing.

Really disappointed. Poorly integrated alcohol. Hay and wood dominate.

I haven't had a Saint James in my glass for a while, but I didn't remember it being as extreme as this one. Quite intense despite only 42°, which is impressive, but a lot of leather, tobacco and wood. I can't do much with that.
Review by Portman
Round, clean, a good Agricole that lacks only a little fruitiness for me. For a fairly young Agricole a bit too unspectacular, but still a good, rich and complex rum, if you feel a little into it.

My first agricole rum tasting. It was so different to spanish & british rums I usually taste. It is distinguishable and interesting . However I need to find a way how to enjoy it more :-).

Nice round Agricol

Delicate and soft with woody and nutty notes on the finish and a small fruity and corn streak
Review by Yann Thom
Lacks complexity, very light but not unpleasant. Suitable for an old-fashioned cocktail.
Review by Benoit Bail
