I tested this rum when I visited Hopewell Distillery during my recent visit to Barbados, which is a newly started distillery by Perkins & Sons, an old Barbados family active in the production of spirits. Old Mill is the oldest brand still produced by P&S and it’s a blend of oak-aged Barbados distilled spirits. It’s an uncomplicated, soft, round, smooth and fruity rum with a certain sweetness. The finish is medium long.
