Rum tasted at the GRF in Berlin in 2026. A nose with esters, slightly overripe tropical fruits, and a smoky, varnish side that adds complexity. The esters are quite developed for a NY, and that's intentional, but overall it remains quite smooth. Same thing on the palate, a nice power of tamed esters, wood, tropical fruits, smoke, and roast. The finish follows the palate, only it's shorter than expected. A very well-made and balanced rum. The WK mark refers to Winston Kennedy.

Another Warehouse #1 rum in the glass. On the nose: Taste: Tropical fruits like pineapple, guava and little bit of banana blended together with esters and some overripe feel. Then you get a little bit meaty/smoky notes in there Finish: Warm. Tropical fruits, guava, esters, overripe notes. Citrus notes at the end Very nice fruity palate on this rum. With these notes, i wish that this rum had a higher abv. Price to quality is very good.

Wow, I thought I was the first to try it, but apparently not. But Jamaica is clearly recognizable here, the (overripe) tropical fruits banana and pineapple, but also a round of esters. The value for money is obviously outstanding here.

Tasting date 13.09.2026 gift from Mr. D Jungberg. RX26324 Warehouse NYE / WK 2022. Nose: Toasted wood and smoke, some complexity. Heavy tropical fruits, esters. Spices and dark nutty notes. Mouth: Deep and balanced. Heavy tropical fruits and spices, dark syrup and brown sugar, nuts and vanilla. Residual taste is warm and pleasant, overwhelming dark sweetness from dried fruits like dates and figs. Overripe cherry’s and plum. Light salty minerals, molasses. Pleasant citrus peel freshness. Light smoke and roasted coconut, balanced pineapple notes. Quite nice rum compared to price level. The glass: Citrus and tobacco. Tasting “In the cave”

A tasting of 5 Warehouse #1 Legendary Marks with 52% and 4 years of continental barrel aging. Here is the New Yarmouth with the mark NYE/WK, which means a relatively low ester content (relatively speaking) compared to these high ester bottlings among the five rums. The color, like all the rums in this comparison, is a clear amber. On the nose, despite the comparatively nominally lower ester content, there is a full dose of glue and solvent notes. Only behind that are light fruity aromas. On the palate, first sour with fruitiness and solvent notes. But over time in the glass, it’s nice to drink with a delicious sweetish note. Long finish with woody-spicy elements. I really like it after 15 minutes. For me, it shares first place with the DOK in the comparison.
