Alcoholes Y Rones de Panama SA Rumclub Private Selection Ed. 64 2006
The people who've tried this rate it high and mean it — several call it the best Panama rum they've had. What lands is the cask: toasted oak, honey, dried dates and raisins, a little nutmeg and red pepper, finishing dry and nutty. At 56.3% it's sharp on first sip, so give it 20 minutes in the glass to open up. One taster even flagged it as "surprisingly similar to Foursquare".

#7202 22.08.2026 Relaxing with this nice Panama from Dirk. Really nice rum with an attractive price tag in my mind. Well balanced and naturally sweet rum with fruits, wood, roasted, dried fruit, caramel, spice and light coffee.

Tasting on 17.07.2026 Rum Depot 6.0 Organized by Mr. K Sørensen RX26343 Y Rones de Panama. Nose: Slightly spiced cask, alcohol, vanilla and nut. Palate: First impression, prickly mouthfeel. It gets 20 minutes in the glass, then the rum becomes a bit more agreeable and open. Burnt sugar, dried fruits date light fig, a bit of red pepper. Spiced with vanilla The aftertaste is clearly Spanish style, I get a bit of solera aftertaste. Glass: Oak cask, a bit tannic. Tasting “In the cave”

#1789 06-06-2026 - Rate 8.6 Rumclub Private Selection tasting Sønderborg Second rum I was very excited about. Have not tasted that muck from Panama and the stats on this one looked promising. And it delivered. What a good rum. Really good integration between taste and ABV. Enjoy 04-07-2026 - Rate 8.6 22-08-2026 - Rate 8.5

On the nose: Very intense and pleasant. Sweet notes, vanilla, fine spices, and a hint of wood. On the palate: Complex sweetness, vanilla, and pronounced spices. With some time in the glass: Additional aromas of cocoa, fig, and a subtle smoky tone develop. I find it really easy-drinking, and the 19 years have made it very smooth and relaxed.
Review by Boletus
A very nice, mature and fruity Panama rum that achieves a pretty complexity through the strong cask aromas characterized by spicy toasted oak with a subtle smoky note reminiscent of soft leather. The appropriate natural sweetness fits very well on the palate, ending rather dry and nutty in the finish.

Tasting at "Basecamp" on 10.07.2026 Samples from Rum Depot. 👌 🇵🇦 Nose on an adventure👃: I sense honey and a bit of nuts. Tongue on an adventure 🥃: I taste dried fruit like dates and raisins. A bit of nutmeg also comes through. The tail of the story💫: Is really good! I haven't tasted anything similar from Panama.

Very pleasant nose of raisins, dark berries, red fruits, light woody barrel aromas, slight herbal note. Taste: Creamy, balanced, full-bodied with dried fruits, red fruits, dark berries, slight mint and a hint of pepper, baking spices, vanilla. The finish is medium-length. Very good bottling.
