Yay, first! I'm thrilled. Delicious little drop. After all the expensive nonsense Mount Gay has put out, finally a rich, full-bodied Bajan rum again. Has a lot of Foursquare similarity but is still a bit different. Soft but very distinct oak with vanilla and coconut, caramel, and a bit of coffee. Not too thin and not too strong. No alcohol burn at all. Noticeable tannins but gentle. Lovely. Exactly my personal taste. I'm happy, well done Trudiann.

On the nose coconut, banana, roastiness, clove. On the palate, fantastically woven alcohol. Despite the age, balanced wood with wonderfully intense clove, vanilla, and allspice. Also a distinctly delicious yellow fruitiness and light banana. I unusually suspect a distinctive column still distillate. A monument to the art of barrel aging.
