Nose Balanced ester funk; maybe not very high by Jamaica standards but not low in general. Lots of pineapple, shoe polish, spoiled coconut. A bit of macadamia nut. Overripe mango. Acetone. Green apple. Slight vanilla underneath. Unripe banana. Leather. Spearmint. Briny green olive. Lime peel. Dry mint. Beeswax. Yogurty. Slightly yeasty base. Nutmeg and cinnamon. A bit of motor oil. 86 Palate Nice medium-high sweetness. Medicinal, tincture. Lots of canned pineapple. Stale Maltese plum. Leather and shoe polish, brine and green olive again. Nice medium-high oily body. Jackfruit and a bit of passion fruit. Banana leaf and young banana again. Maybe clove from behind. Some brown sugar. Lots of menthol, toothpaste. Red apples and maybe some brown sugar. Wormwood. Cinnamon and nutmeg, a bit of cardamom. Quite balanced and enjoyable. 86 Finish Nutmeg and Listerine. Spearmint. A bit of naphthalene. Strawberry chewing gum. Synthetic red forest fruit. Dried banana chips. Sauced roasted corn. Paprika. Intensity a bit above medium if not medium, finish a bit longer than medium. Yogurty like dry tzatziki maybe. Not too complex but good, balanced. 85 General impression: Not the most complex rum in the world but no balance issues. A pleasant rum showing oxidative maturity. Very distillate driven. Considering the price, not an easy bottle to turn your nose up at. 87 Total: 86 Price performance: Good! Will I buy again?: I'm happy with what I got, no need to stock up; other bottlings.

Nose is light with floral notes, milk chocolate and some rose petals. Mouth brings more earthy notes, butterscotch and some brine. Finish is light and chocolate with black tea. Good but nothing special
