Cadenhead Green Label Blind Tasting @Alex: clearly more exciting in taste. Raisin, tropical esters. Could be a Lucia.

This rum is actually pretty okay, I just find it a bit thin, a higher ABV and it would definitely be really great. Otherwise, we have quite a lot of wood and spices here, but also a hint of tropical and dried fruits.

Cadenhead Green Label Set (3rd Ed) Thanks Alex! Exciting profile, I wouldn't have guessed Cuba. Some heavy and dirty notes that I usually don't find in a Spanish profile, paired with a nice fruity sweetness.

Thanks to Alex_Kunath for the split. But unfortunately, the Cuban from Cadenhead's Green Label series didn't really grab me. But Cubans aren't really my thing anyway. Like everything from this series, it's just too stripped down for me personally.

Today a few Green Labels from Cadenhead in the tasting glass. These are often reduced to 46% like this representative from Cuba as well. The color is light straw at 13 years, probably continental maturation. Even the nose is not typically Cuban - at least compared to what I have stored. Clearly more character. Woody spicy notes, but somehow livelier and fresher. And the longer it stays in the glass, the more I like it. On the palate, nice spiciness with restrained cask aromas. The finish is medium-long on the palate aromas. The fresh spiciness predominates. I just poured myself a typical Cuban representative in the same weight class - that one is noticeably rounder and sweeter, while the Cadenheads simply comes across refreshingly different.
