Port Cask Finish, that sounds promising to me. The nose is not the typical candy bomb, but an extremely smoky palette of aromas. Huh? As if a whisky finish had taken place here, not a trace of port. This continues throughout and I am left confused and disgusted. If you want to suck a sugared piece of coal, here you go.

22.12.2025 Day 22 of my Christmas Calendar and also a sweet and fruity rum. The nose is rather light with a hint of mint and cinnamon. ------- Another release where I think the cask finish damaged the final result. Sweet and fruity with smoky wood.

A sweet, dessert-like profile. Dry dark fruits, vanilla, and caramel dominate, while classic rum character and port wine finish take a backseat. Smooth and very pleasant, a treat for fans of sweet spirits, but clearly too sweet and not very complex for purists.

A bit less sweet than its brothers but still quite sweet. Smoky-woody on the nose, fruity on the palate with a slight sherry note. The somewhat spritzy finish bothers me a bit but it's quite drinkable.

On the nose. Sweetish with a very slight smokiness and lots of cookie. The smoke is reminiscent of lager and less of peated whisky. Then on the palate the smoke is very strong and completely surprising. I would not have expected that with this rum. Very sweet, as usual for the company. However, there is something about the smoke. I was pleasantly surprised by this rum. For me, it's the best I've had from this company so far. Above all, the price is quite fair compared to its peers.

7,5:The rum nose is very sweet and fruity. Unlike the brand's other rums, the first moments are not marked by a few heavy exotic fruit notes. Here, we're immediately plunged into something syrupy, liquorish, like a fruit syrup. Cinnamon is clearly present, providing a pastry-like quality. The alcohol expresses itself and escapes from this thick liquid. Vanilla rounds out the finish, with melted candy sugar and candied citrus peel. Alcohol mingles with pepper and tickles the nose.Aeration confirms and reinforces the sweet, gently spicy profile. You'd expect a sweet rum, now refreshed by finer spices like cardamom, and a sweet, icy mint edge. With time, the rum settles on candied fruit and spices= Christmas cake character. 7,5:The palate reveals the hint of heaviness (very ripe, even cooked banana) that was not present in the first notes. The rum is gripping, acidic, high in alcohol but very sweet and full-bodied. The candied fruits and spices are full-bodied and consistent, catching the taste buds thanks to a coffee powder. 7,2:The finish is permeated with coffee, still with a candy-like impression that in the end is more reminiscent of cola.

Sweet start of Mr. Pharmacist. Caramel, vanilla, hazelnut on the nose. On the palate it is very very sweet, but that can be expected here. It is round and already sticky in the mouth. I think women must love this.

Goldgelb Farbe. Geruch nach Gewürzen und Röstnoten. Erinnert ein wenig an Whisky. Der typische Riise Geruch ist aber auch wieder mit dabei. Der Geschmack ist süß, würzig und rauchig mit Holznoten. Läuft dick am Glas herunter.

The rum is sweeter, but not too much. After swallowing, it feels dry, but the taste pleasantly rounds out. The aroma is very pleasant and delicate. Generally, I prefer rather sweeter rums with a gentle taste and an interesting finish, which is what port aging provides. At a price around 1150 CZK, the rum is above average in this price category, definitely worth trying.

Weaker aroma, alcoholic with a noticeable and clear smoky tone and lots of sharpness. The taste of grappa and smoke is still very strong until the end. I will have to taste it again another time to reconsider it on the tongue. It is completely different from what I am used to from AHR.

Nicht wirklich überzeugend. In der Nase noch angenehm Fruchtig undvolöer Vorfreude. im Mund wird bis zum Abgang vieles verspielt was eben noch versprochen. Im Abgang eher einem Single MaltWhisky im Port Fass gelagert gleichend.

Call me insensitive but I cannot feel the difference from others. If there was any cask finish, I cannot tell because the flavour is killed by tons of sugar and artificial aka riise signature flavor. There are subtle nuances and changes here and there but you cannot tell whether it is just more diluted taste or just the compounds are addedin different rario. It is all the same to me. At least it has 45 abv.

Slightly spritzy on the nose, rather flat. Sweet on the palate, some citrus fruit and wood. Smoke is hard to find, the port doesn't come through. Finish rather short, mild for 45*.

The description says that this is a sweet rum. I would not classify this as a rum, rather a liqueur. The description on the bottle is quite accurate in that sense: 'superior spirit drink made from premium matured rum'. I would not sell this as a rum, but as a liqueur it is okay.

Very mild with a small edge from the 45% ABV. It's a very nice blend but should give a bit more taste with the ABV. Not enough for me.
