Expect the classic Trinidad markers: red berries and cassis, a thick vein of mint, cedar and more oak than the 10 years suggests. At 68.2% the heat is surprisingly well integrated, leaving room for the fruit. One reviewer preferred it to Nobilis' own 15-year.

Rhum goûté au GRF à Berlin en 2026. Un nez très ouvert, fruité, semble presque sucré avec tous ces fruits. Le bois de cèdre est en soutient. L’entrée de bouche est ample, portée par l’alcool, puis les fruits montent. Beaucoup de fraîcheur aussi. La finale est longue, sur les fruits avec un bois de cèdre bien intégré et un petit côté végétal pour la fraîcheur.

This TDL 2016 has intense notes of mint, cassis, dark berries, and surprisingly a lot of wood for a Trinidad rum that's not that old. The alcohol could be better integrated and comes across a bit chemical/metallic in the finish for me. Good TDL nonetheless but it doesn't fully grab me. Overall a bit tiring. By comparison, I can get the 43% CDI Trinidad 2016 for just 50€...

German Rum Festival 2026 review, so maybe not the most accurate review from me. On the nose: Fruity, leaning towards berries at first. Once the rum opens up you get more woody, roasted notes, light earthy notes and nice minty notes Taste: Intense. Fruity, dark berries maybe, minty notes. Dried fruits. Light chocolate/mocha notes Finish: Minty notes, woody notes, light roasted notes. Light dried fruit notes. Dry. Good TDL rum, but i need a sample and review this at home for a more accurate review.

This page has been particularly quiet lately… Tastings are rare, but there are still some great discoveries worth checking out. Thanks to Fabian for sharing this sample! 🙏 🥃 Nobilis TDL 2016 (Rums of Anarchy #8) – 68.2% Eighth and final bottling in the Rums of Anarchy series: a Trinidad Distillers Limited distilled in 2016, aged 8 years in the tropics then 2 years in Europe. All bottled cask strength at 68.2%, from a single cask with only 279 bottles. 👃 On the nose, it’s immediately indulgent: caramel, citrus, passion fruit, fruit syrup, burnt sugar… with that hint of hydrocarbons that clearly sets the tone. 🥃 On the palate, it’s even more expressive. The fruits explode, accompanied by a nice menthol freshness and notes of licorice. Despite the 68.2%, the alcohol is remarkably well integrated and leaves plenty of room for the rich aromas. ✨ The finish is long, balanced, elegant, and returns to that indulgent caramel that instantly makes you want to dive back in. 👉 A very nice Heavy TDL that will delight fans of dirty, fruity, and powerful profiles without ever going over the top. 👏 Kudos to ROA for this selection! And now… when’s the next bottling, Salvatore? 😉

Messeverkostung am Nobilis Stand GRF 2026. Daher Kurz Review. Typische TDL Nase. Holz, Würzigkeit und eine dicke Portion Minze. Am Gaumen mit demselben Eindruck. Der ABV ist gut eingebunden und die Menthol-Aromatik zieht sich sauber in den mittel-langen Abgang. Keine Überraschung, gut gemacht und da ich kräftige Minze-Profile mag auch gut bewertet.

Love it! I find the aromas even more pronounced than the 15-year. Fruity and woody just right with some whatts but pretty well integrated for me. A nice freshness and all the classic TDL markers, obviously. Lovely!
