"Definitely Rhum Rhum" is how one taster opens, and that's the mood here: peach and apricot fruit, fresh herbs, a little wood and a wisp of sulphur, dense and intense on the palate at 59%. Give it real time in the glass — several members say the herbs and wine-cask sweetness only knit together after a long rest. Long, spicy finish. A few drops of water bring out minerals and even more herbs.

A small superficial comparison tasting between the three newest Rhum Rhum RX25045, RX25046, and RX26410 Roberto would put it like this: RX26410>RX25045>>RX25046 Yes, for my taste the RX25045 is actually just barely behind the superb RX26410. And the longer it stays in the glass, the closer it gets to it, it feels just as powerful but fruitier. The RX25046 is also very tasty, but for me it falls a bit short due to its lower ABV and the resulting lower aroma density. All three are recommendable bottlings. Update 2026-09-22: Retasting against a benchmark Bielle, namely Rob's 2012 (RX24702), and a clear conclusion: The 2013 (RX26410) is really very, very successful, but the Sins (RX24702) overshadows it in every respect. It simply has more of all the positives. It is fruitier, spicier, richer. Exceptional rum. The comparison confirms my previous point ratings and thus the 3-point gap between the two rums.

Today the Millesime 2013 compared with one of the good but not outstanding Integrale, the 2017 (RX250). Differences on the nose become clearer after some standing time. The Millesime is somewhat more fruity-sour (fruit bread), the Integrale more about the cask (white oak). On the palate the Millesime is overall rounder. A really successful bottling!

First impression. Definitely Rhum Rhum. Fruity (peach, apricot), woody, slightly floral. Intense and dense in the mouth. Slight sulfur. More spice on the finish. Long finish. Compared to the Integrale 2017, the 2013 feels fruitier and fresher. Not as much barrel influence and less caramel. But for me, the first impression is the same high level. Note that the 2017 had more time to oxidize. The 2013 is freshly opened.

Here it is, the new Rhum Rhum 2013. And next to it, the brother 2015 (RX880). The family resemblance is clearly recognizable. Despite the older age, the 2013 seems a bit fruitier to me, but I can't pick a winner in this pairing. In the RX880, even the alcohol seems a bit better integrated.

In my opinion it needs a very long resting time in the glass, as the aromas have to find each other first, especially herbs and the sweetness of the wine barrels. Then it feels very harmonious. With water more mineral and even more herbs.

Today in comparison RX25046, RX25045 and RX26410. After the latest YouTube video by Oliver, I also took a look at the MatchScore after tasting, and I would say I could adopt it as is.

This millesime is intense, dark, spicy, herbal, and complex with dried as well as dark red fruits. The longer it lingers on the palate, the more aromas you discover... very late in the finish it clearly shows its origin... then the typical grassy Agricole notes appear.
