At 38.1% the alcohol is buried; one member would've guessed 30% blind. The finish is short and fades fast, and the Foursquare base almost disappears. Beginners and sweet-tooths adore it; several here find it just too sweet.

In der Nase ist ordentlich süßer Sherry zu vernehmen. Der Port kommt gleich danach. Riecht schon nach einem sehr milder süffigen Rum. Im Mund ist es dann genau das, süffig milder sherry lastiger Rum. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Im Vergleich zum Wagemut noch etwas gefälliger, süßer, Alkohol wegen der Süße besser eingebunden. Aber man muss sich natürlich im Klaren sein mit welcher Spirituose man es zu tun hat.. Für Einsteiger sicher sehr gut geeignet!

Der PX Cask in noch deutlich fruchtiger und milder, minus das Holz. Sehr cremig, gut eingebundene Süße, null alkoholisch. Rosine, (getrocknete) rote Früchte, Sherry, das Port finish trägt wohl auch zur Rundheit bei. Absoluter Dessert Preis-/Leistungs-Kracher, allenfalls könnte man ihm vorwerfen, dass von der Rum Basis nicht mehr viel zu erkennen ist. Vergleichbar mit dem Ida van der Ille, eben (natürliche) Frucht statt Vanille. Drinks: - Pur: 4.5/5

Sehr süß, fast schon likörartig. Der Rum kommt nur im kurzen Abgang etwas durch, Sherry und Port dominieren in der Nase und am Gaumen. Der Abgang erinnerte mich an ein Bonbon aus der Kindheit, dessen Name mir leider entfallen ist. Gut gemachtes Produkt, dass den meisten Menschen schmecken wird. Eindeutig an Einsteiger und Süßmäuler adressiert. Der Alkohol wird vorzüglich versteckt, ich hätte blind auf um die 30% getippt. Mir persönlich zu süß, aber meine Frau liebt ihn. 😉

Der Geruch lässt kaum erahnen was einen erwartet wenn man diesen Rum trinkt. Hat man dieses im Mund kommt der Portwein zu Geltung, Rosienen, Nüsse und Früchte zur Geltung die es zu entdecken gilt. Der Abgang ist dabei wirklich sehr kurz und leider lässt der Geschmack schnell nach.

In der Nase dominieren Rosinen, Sherry und getrocknete Früchte, dazu Traube, Pflaume und Portwein. Am Gaumen zeigt sich die Frucht etwas zurückhaltender, mit Rosine, Pflaume und Dörrobst. Ein runder, fruchtbetonter Charakter mit feiner Eichenwürze. Sehr lecker für mein empfinden 😊.

Die Nase ist deutlich schwächer als beim PX Cask und wird sehr von Port dominiert. Das ganze Produkt ist sehr portlastig und sehr süss. Im Abgang dominiert ebenfalls das Portwein-Aroma mit viel Geschmack von Rosinen. Kann ich für Einsteiger empfehlen. Mir zu Süss

Ich weiß nicht was es an ihm ist. Aber für mich persönlich eine 10/10. Ich trinke ungern Rum pur. Aber der hat mich eines besseren belehrt. Hab gleich nen kleinen Vorrat bestellt

Unkomplizierter, leicht zugänglicher Sipper mit sehr, sehr viel Süße. Da würde mich doch mal der Zuckergehalttest vom Hersteller interessieren. ;)

Sehr sehr süß. Ich schmecke süße und Rosine. Ich möchte gar nicht wissen wie hoch der Zuckergehalt ist. Eher Likör als Rum, vom Rum schmeckt man nicht mehr viel. Leider eine Enttäuschung, hatte mir nach dem Px-Cask etwas mehr erwartet

[German Rum Festival 2026] Der „Kleine Bruder“ macht seinem Namen alle Ehre: unkompliziert, charmant und gefährlich süffig. Dunkle Früchte, Karamell und Honig treffen auf deutliche PX- und Portweinnoten, dazu kommt eine überraschend salzige Nuance. Mir gefällt besonders, wie weich und zugänglich er trotz der üppigen Süße bleibt. Sicher kein Rum für große Tiefenanalyse – aber einer, bei dem das Glas erstaunlich schnell leer wird. Kein komplexer „Denker-Rum“, sondern eher ein Wohlfühl-Dram für den entspannten Abend. Gerade die Kombination aus dunkler Frucht, PX-Süße und dieser kleinen salzigen Spitze macht ihn für mich interessanter, als die 38,1 % zunächst vermuten lassen.

In der Nase sehr weinlastig Port ist gut wahrzunehmen aber nicht zu dominant dann der Sherry. Mundgefühl ist angenehm samtig ölig recht süß so wird er ja auch beworben. Mir persönlich ist der Anteil vom Süsswein zu hoch.
