Once again a hidden highlight from Guyana - tropical aged, absolutely round on the nose and palate, alcohol convincingly integrated. Oak wood, caramelized vanilla sugar, milk sugar, crème brûlée, red berries, cinnamon, dried fruits, allspice, cashew nuts, dark chocolate. The second maturation in the former red wine cask is initially only subtly noticeable, but becomes recognizable with some oxidation in the form of dairy desserts and red berries, pleasantly rounding off the distillate. It lacks a bit of complexity, but remains a high-quality column still profile with a coherent finish through the cask finish.

Monitoring delicious El Dorado despite the finish. I'd really be curious which red wine from Portugal was used here – luckily it is not too dominant. Apart from that, the absolutely liquid cappuccino & banana-coconut split. Dark chocolate, banana caramelized in honey with some cinnamon, espresso with milk foam and cocoa, the red wine finish brings more tannins with some imagination and makes the mouthfeel a bit drier and furrier but contributes pleasantly. For me a really successful bottling! Depending on the price, I'd gladly buy a bottle. Thanks Jakob for the sample!
