I tested this rum when I visited Hopewell Distillery during my recent visit to Barbados, which is a newly started distillery by Perkins & Sons, an old Barbados family active in the production of spirits. The distillery is run by Greg Cozier, his sons and wife. Greg that hosted us is the grandson of Ivan Perkins the founder of P&S. This single batch rum is the first rum produced at the distillery. We, a bunch of Swedes, got the opportunity to taste it before the launching of the 100 bottles in March 2026. It’s smooth, fresh, warm and well balanced. The finish is rather long.
