That signature TDL mint runs right through this one — menthol and cool mint wrapped around caramelized peach, a little oak and the spicy Trinidad house character everyone here recognizes. At 55% the alcohol sits well integrated, and 18 years have rounded it out. Members find it complex and tasty without quite reaching the top shelf; a slightly bitter finish holds it back, though it fades the longer it sits in the glass.

Wonderful TDL with the typical mint note that I especially like in Trinidad. On the nose, peach, mint, some wood, and the familiar spicy TDL aroma. On the palate, herbs, spices, and a slight sweetness come through. The combination of peach and cool mint works really well here. Very round, complex, and simply delicious; for a higher rating, the finish is a bit too bitter.

Excellent TDL release that scores well with its cost-enjoyment ratio considering the price asked. Rich mint combined with caramel, vanilla, wood, spices – an aromatically complex rum at a high level. Great selection!

A very solid and especially very fairly priced TDL that basically gives you everything you expect: sweet and sour passion fruit, caramelized peach, mint & menthol, as well as some green tea and light tannins. For a top rating, however, it lacks that certain something or the necessary complexity. The rum is tasty and well made, the alcohol is really well integrated, but it lacks depth. Complaining at a high level, of course — but there’s still room for improvement. 😁 On the price asked, though, you really can’t complain.

Great bottling, the complete TDL DNA is present. Nice interplay of mint, menthol, fruit, and wood. When it sits longer in the glass, the finish is no longer bitter. Would love to see more bottlings like this at that price.

#1854 28-08-2026 - Rate 8.3 Warm up to German Rum Festival 2026 6th warm up. A nice TDL. Not at the same level as many of the other TDL’s I have tasted the last year. Still a good rum but not the same caliber as the others 😉

I'm happy when a things work as it supposed to do. In this case, when rum from T.D.L. tastes minty and intense. Well known profile with a peaches, mint, menthol and a barrel. Alcohol is integrated very well and it even doesn't tastes bitter to me. The price is more than fair I suppose. I would say, happy days.

Unbelievable value for money for an 18 year old TDL, entirely tropically aged. It walks the line between fresh fruit, herbal notes and cask influence very well. Plenty of plush orchard fruit, alongside more herbal, dried dark fruit and eucalyptus notes. Plenty to unpick here and very enjoyable drinking.
