#7229 29.08.2026 Tasted at the German Rum Festival 2026. Pretty good rum with a nice price tag. My quick notes while tasting. Agricole, grass, sugarcane, woody, varnish, dried fruit, fruity, apricot, oily, vanilla, caramel, cardamom, chocolate, coffee, floral.

Logical profile from start to finish. On dried, red, jammy fruits, there is also a floral side. Pure Martinique. At less than €80 in a well-worked cask (golden mist toast), it’s a great value for money.

GRF 2026 VIP Tasting. 11 years in the cask. A consistent bottling from the nose impression to the finish and what you can expect from such a rum. Woody and spicy notes on the nose. Complemented by fresh and vegetal/green agricole aromas on the palate and in the fairly long finish. I quite like this mix of vegetal/herbal notes with the woody spiciness from the barrel aging, and the price is totally fair. I've seen some pretty low ratings here. For me, this bottling comes out much better....
