Mmmhhh ein richtig leckerer Tropfen. Ich rieche Erdbeeren, Mango, Ananas...Milchschokolade , Lavendel und Blumige Notes. Himmlische Nase Am Gaumen Schön ölig legt er sich in den Mund... unfassbar geiler Antritt ...füllt den Mund voll aus mit Erdbeerkompott Mango und Schokolade verrührt mit Joghurt Wahnsinnig lecker . Absolutes Highlight 🌞

Blind Community Tasting Courcelles 1972 by Jakob Etwas frisch vergorenes - wie bei rotem Naturwein gesellt sich zu den roten Fruchtnoten. Sonst viel typisches Karamell, Vanille, Honig. Lecker. Sehr lecker.

Ein kleines Highlight. Im Jahr der Schließung der Destille destilliert und 35 Jahre gereift. Mein bisher einziger Rum aus der Domaine de Courcelles. Nase: solch ein Aroma hatte ich bisher noch nie im Glas. Intensiv Kirschkoghurt mit Marzipan. Dahinter feiner Lavendel-Honig und überhaupt sehr blumig, fast ein bisschen Parfum-ähnlich. Viel trockene Vanille kommt hinzu und hinten wird er wachsartig und würziger. Elegant und schön. 89 Gaumen: sehr elegant, konzentriert und intensiv. Bitter-holzig, ohne wirklich bitter zu sein. Sehr Würzig mit Vanille, Lakritze und auch umami. Fette Pekanuss. Daneben süßlich-fruchtig, wieder mit Kirsche aber auch mit getrockneter Blutorange, getr. Dattel und getr. Feige. Neben all den eher gedämpften Noten hat er aber sich etwas frisches, kräuteriges mit Kamille. Zum Ende kommt auch noch etwas Gras und Safran hinzu. Sehr schöne Geschmackserfahrung. 91 Ein Rum, dem man sein Alter an der Ausgeglichenheit und der Komplexität anmerkt. In kleinster weiße holzig, tolle, ungewöhnliche Aromen. Eine seltene Schönheit, das kann man wohl sagen.

This is another older tasting and I do have an even older one on my shelf equally good. The nose has spices and cherry with toffee, wood and herbal notes as well as light chocolate. The chocolate is more obvious in the empty glass after an hour or so. The palate is well balanced, sweet and fruity with spices, wood, toffee and a light nutty note. The finish is medium long and sweet with dried fruit and wood. The bottle is not cheap but we'll worth the money.

RumX Tasting mit 4 x Courcelles 1972 (RX1196, RX13308, RX5448, RX2650): Besten Dank an Jakob für die tolle Möglichkeit. Was für eine tolle Nase und Geschmack nach Vanille, Zimt, Bratapfel. Weihnachten pur. Ziemlich genial.

RumX Community Tasting - Domaine de Courcelles (danke an Jakob) Vier Abfüllungen im Blind Tasting, 2008, 2014 und 2022 von Rhum House und 2005 von Velier. Recht einig waren wir uns über den Sieger des Abends, und wie sollte es sonst sein, es war die nicht gerade günstige Velier-Abfüllung (fruchtig, blumig, süß). Danach folgte für mich Rhum House 2014 (ähnliches Profil, mehr Kirsche als Pfirsich), dicht gefolgt von 2008 (sehr ähnlich dem 2014) und zum Schluss 2022 (im Vergleich weniger fruchtig, mehr würzig, leicht alkoholischer). Aber alle liegen sehr eng beieinander, mal mehr und mal weniger Noten von Kirsche und Pfirsich(-Eistee), Honig oder Bienenwabe und ganz viel Vanille. Sehr gutes Zeug.
