Tasted at GRF in Berlin in 2026. A rich and deep nose with powerful wood that doesn’t dominate, prunes, and leather. The palate is also deep and rich. Lots of prunes and the alcohol is well integrated. The wood supports, less pronounced than on the nose. The finish is long with a more acidic wood right at the end. The palate and finish are a bit below the nose. A very beautiful rum picked up at RA and sold at an amazing price.

#7248 29.08.2026 Tasted at the German Rum Festival 2026. This is a very good REV and I bought a bottle right away. The price tag is amazing considering the age and quality. I am amazed at how well the wood is integrated in the profile, I had expected a ton of tannins, but they were not really there. My quick notes while tasting. Glue, polish, fruits, caramel, spice, roasted wood, molasses, rubber, herbs.

Another quick review from the German Rum Festival 2026. On the nose: Woody, light orange peel, roasted. Dried fruits. Vegetal/herbal notes as the rum opens up. Taste: Light. Warm. Slightly oily mouthfeel. Dried fruits. Plums. Light roasted notes. Woody. Good integration of alcohol. Once the rum opens up you get more herbal and minty notes. Stone fruits ? Finish: Woody, light minty notes and light menthol notes. Light citrus notes. Lovely light palate once the rum opens up and price to quality is pretty good. I need to do another review if i can a sample somewhere.
