#7254 29.08.2026 Tasted at the German Rum Festival 2026. A very nice rum with an OK price tag. Intense profile but has natural sweetness to it at the same time. My quick notes from tasting. Ester, woody, roasted, overripe, fruity, polish, glue, metallic, spice.

Strong aroma, full of tropical fruit, bananas, pineapple, and papaya. The taste explodes distinctly in a dry flavor, and behind the fire, the whole tropical spectrum slaps. The finish is endlessly long, fruity, and lightly oaky. But for me, it's already too alcoholic to outweigh the enjoyment over the suffering 😅

Full blast Hampden power, surprisingly fruity, ester and sweetness on the nose. On the palate, dried fruit paired with acidity. Alcohol already present but again surprisingly drinkable. In the finish, you can literally feel the alcohol evaporate and the slightly peppery distillate disappears with a sweetness. Not bad, but a whole bottle would be too much.

Tasting note. Surprisingly well-integrated alcohol. Great value for money, but not really. I can only guess what this bottling is meant for, as even small amounts really pack a punch.

Tried 2026 at the German Rum Fest in Berlin. Once again a blast what was bottled here, you don’t need much of it. Supposed to be the same base material as the predecessors. But as already noted with those, the price is too expensive for me to get one.

Wow! The highest-ABV rum I’ve tried so far. Extremely intense on the nose and palate, with notes of dried fruit and esters. Funky, yet surprisingly drinkable despite its high ABV. It doesn’t burn your throat.

85%, you don't get that every day, even as a nerd. Comparatively "soft," if you can say that. The alcohol is present, you feel the strength, but the rum burns significantly less than some other cask strength rums at 60-65%. Aside from that: Nice HGML with plenty of varnish and glue.
