Molasses rum from Nicaragua landed in a Hampden high-ester cask, and the result is a wild mix. Overripe fruit, red apple and orange pull against a sweet-sour tension, with green tea and honey on the nose. And here's another one, because it's just so nice. 😊 Werner and his team have crafted something fine for us again. A wild mix of aromas. The Nicaragua molasses goes well with the Hampden cask. Unripe fruits, apples, green tea with honey hit the nose. On the palate, it feels light. Nice honey sweetness with citrus fruits, again green tea and esters. Towards the finish, it becomes woodier, toastier, and warms you up nicely. Great drop!

#7283 29.08.2026 Tasted at the German Rum Festival 2026. When looking at the price tag you get a really nice rum in my mind. My tasting quick notes. Intense profile with esters, overripe fruits, roasted wood, licorice, cinnamon, herbs and some tannins.

Exciting cask experiment by Feller. Bottled for the 15th German Rum Festival. And the high-ester aromas of the Rumclub HD bottling come through nicely here. I perceive a nice interplay between sweet and sour, reddish apple and orange. The esters from the finish remain present until the end, but a bit too much acidity at the end prevents an even better rating.
