Orange marmalade and ripe yellow fruit up front, with a menthol freshness and just a light touch of oak and vanilla — this reads unmistakably as agricole from the moment you pour it. Ten years from Bielle on Marie Galante, distilled from cane juice. Most find the nose lovely and the palate a shade thinner and quieter, a bit more roasted and woody than the smell promises.

A bit older tasting being added here. A nice Agricole with a lovely colour. Very fresh from nose to finish and I like the very light wood and vanilla. No doubt that this is an Agricole when you pour it into your glass.

Warm digestible Agricole, tastes like French Caribbean. Crisp yellow fruits, vegetal, warm mouthfeel. More roasted aromas than usual, but it suits the rum well. A bit thin unfortunately, which is why it would be too expensive for me.

A step up from the 5y old but subtle. Delivers more in smell and taste. Less in finish. Well rounded. Some wood spices. The usual agricole notes. Def not worth the price tag though.

Very pleasant on the nose, fruity and fresh, less so on the palate because it’s more oaky, with a very nice caramel. I’m coming back to it after a few years, at home. The nose is excellent, smoky but with a good presence of candied fruits. The palate is indeed a bit less, as it’s sharp at first then softens on spices and coffee. The finish is good and very pleasant on those last notes. I’m coming back a third time after a year with the bottle one-third empty: I’m raising the rating from 8 to 9, yes, definitely. The nose is excellently smoky, the palate both deep and light with coffee, caramel. And the finish is rather long. Amazing.

Very pleasant nose even if it could be more enveloping. Orange marmalade, a touch of menthol freshness. It makes me really want it! Pleasant attack, ripe fruits and still the marmalade, a bit of melon. Quite round, it has a nice length even if a bit discreet.
