I have had a short break from tasting because I felt like 2-3 days a week with tasting was a bit over the top. Back in shape again and we had a wonderful evening yesterday. A true Caroni with the Valinch & Mallet touch. I can only recommend it.

A very rare release with only 24 bottles. In direct comparison with other 1998 Caronis from continental storage, it is placed in the midfield, the HTR notes are present, flanked by spices, wood and some residual sweetness and offer a generally typical aroma spectrum. The rum lacks a unique selling point, but it operates at a very good level.
