#7428 25.09.2026 - 28.09.2026 Attending the Whisky Live in Paris 2026 with a few good friends. We had a great time and it was nice to introduce them to this event which was a first for them. Quick notes while tasting. Spice, fruits, sugarcane, floral, grass, honey.

Tasted at Whisky Live Paris 2026. Very disappointed by this new version of a white from Providence: very linear, no depth. Sugarcane and very vegetal. Not much is happening.

Providence delivers here a light white rum but no less aromatic. The nose is fresh and vegetal as expected, with aromas of kitchen herbs, garden vegetables, tomatoes, and olives. In addition to juicy sugarcane notes, you can detect a spicy side that comes through with paprika, as well as ripe exotic fruit notes that add breadth. A rich and welcoming profile. The attack on the palate is broad, nicely fatty, and wraps the palate with a beautiful creaminess. The vegetal notes dominate but the citrus is more pronounced, especially ripe lime. Paradoxically, the profile is spicier, notably with chili, paprika, and aromatic herbs. The 45% ABV is well integrated; despite the dilution, the profile remains clean and energetic. The finish is a bit lighter, both in length and aromas, but offers a nice bouquet of aromatic herbs, tomatoes, sugarcane, and ripe citrus, all slightly spiced at the end. A nice bottling, very accessible and should work well neat or in mixology.
