#7366 25.09.2026 - 28.09.2026 Attending the Whisky Live in Paris 2026 with a few good friends. We had a great time and it was nice to introduce them to this event which was a first for them. Quick notes while tasting. Sugarcane, spice, herbs, tobacco, petrol, roasted wood, tannins, chocolate, coffee, resing, smoke, olive, salty, licorice.

Updated after re-tasting at UK rumfest. The nose on this is huge and considerably more intense than the Casimir counterpart. Floral, saline, citric, a touch of nam pla. The flavour from the Caroni cask is very present, but matched by mineral, saline and citric notes (lime, orange). Olive brine, limes, sea spray, oysters. A real fruit and seawater thing going on with a bit of funk. Works well with the tarry notes of the Caroni cask.

Raw Haitian clairin collides with Caroni cask grit. Nose: sugarcane, olive brine, citrus, popcorn, petrol, tar, and varnish. Palate: thick and dry, packing smoky medicinal esters, raspberry, roasted almonds, and pepper. Finishes sharp, dry, and intense.
