#7430 25.09.2026 - 28.09.2026 Attending the Whisky Live in Paris 2026 with a few good friends. We had a great time and it was nice to introduce them to this event which was a first for them. Quick notes while tasting. Fruity, ester, roasted wood, spice, chocolate, polish, tannins.

A nice Worthy Park that has gained a lot of maturity under the tropics. The nose is inviting, with a smooth sensation on the palate. This aspect is enhanced by aromas of caramel, tropical fruits (pineapple, banana), and citrus (orange) that fill the nostrils. Some woody, spicy, and medicinal notes (glue) add a bit of character. A friendly and well-balanced rum. The palate follows the same line with this kind of creaminess. Gone is the aromatic bomb; this is clearly a crowd-pleaser rum aiming for balance. Exotic fruits lead the way, closely followed by esters (glue, varnish), caramelized, woody, and spicy flavors (vanilla). The structure is simple but accessible, quite effective. The alcohol is well integrated. The finish is medium-long, with something more tannic and dry, with a slight woody imprint (probably due to aging). Ripe tropical fruits (pineapple, banana) balance the medicinal and caramelized profile to give it some body at the end. A good Worthy Park, perfectly suited as a complex and accessible rhum de dégustation, without extreme funk.

03/10/2026: tasted @ Salon du Rhum 2026. This is the oldest WP released to date, since the reopening of the distillery. And fully tropical ageing ofcourse. A good rum, but I wished it was a bit more complex.
