#7394 25.09.2026 - 28.09.2026 Attending the Whisky Live in Paris 2026 with a few good friends. We had a great time and it was nice to introduce them to this event which was a first for them. Quick notes while tasting. Well balnced, roasted wood, fruits, spice, ester, chocolate, molases, caramel, naturally sweet, pencil shavings, floral.

A young, vigorous Diamond that has been steeped in sherry. The nose is concentrated in the dark Demerara style, with dark wood, dark chocolate, coffee, warm caramel, toffee, roasted notes (tobacco), and warm spices. The first three years of sherry cask aging have done their job with the presence of dried and shelled fruits (nuts, raisins, figs). It’s indulgent and rich. The palate profile is very dark. You find the archetype with dark wood, roasted and toasted sequences (coffee, dark chocolate), burnt sugar and caramel, and warm spices (chili). The sherry is very present, adding a lot of opulence with the dried fruits. It’s an accessible and easy-drinking profile, certainly not super complex but it masters its aromatic subject. The alcohol is very well integrated. The finish is moderately long. You find the sweetness of sherry with figs and raisins, the sweetness of burnt caramel and sugar, and the roasting of chocolate and coffee. The spices, some smoky notes, and the wood finalize a classic but pleasant profile. A Diamond that drinks very easily but has some aromas to show off for its young age. The value for money is very good.
