Sipped neat, this is a heavy, dirty old TDL that lands close to Caroni territory — tar, rubber and roasted wood underneath, but with more sweet stone fruit and menthol than the usual Trinidad suspects. Peaches, cedar and a cooling mint streak run through it, and at 63% the 25 years keep it deep and drinkable. A slug of acid bitterness shows up for some.

A rum tasted at the WLP in 2026. A nose bursting with fruit and a nice acidity. A cedar wood support that, like the alcohol, is perfectly integrated. The entry on the palate is as fruity as the nose, with however a touch of acidic bitterness that slightly spoils the experience. The finish is very long with fruits and acidic bitterness equally balanced. A very beautiful rum.

A real banger with minimal sweetness, intense menthol, and primarily peach aromas. Alongside the excellently applied TDL profile, there are also some slightly dirty notes that perfectly round it off.

#7372 25.09.2026 - 28.09.2026 Attending the Whisky Live in Paris 2026 with a few good friends. We had a great time and it was nice to introduce them to this event which was a first for them. Quick notes while tasting. Mint, roasted wood, balanced, fruits, spice, tobacco, tar, rubber, chocolate, faint smoke.

Whisky Live Paris 2026 In my opinion a good TDL but not a stunner due to a bit of alcool punch, plus the fruity side wasn't so great! Good complexity overall, not perfect alcool integration in my mind

Tasted at Whisky Live Paris 2026. A standout rum of the show. A heavier, dirty old TDL with a somewhat Caroni - like profile, but with more sweet stone and tropical fruit. The balance is excellent and it's deep, complex and highly drinkable.
