Savanna AGA Rhum Traditionel High Ester AGA 2026
"What a surprise this new Savanna is" sums up the reaction — an unaged white blend of cane juice and molasses that leads with olive and briny salt, then opens into sweet strawberry and fermented pineapple. The texture turns oily, there's a pepper kick, and the empty glass smells like a barn. At 57% the alcohol sits well-integrated. Most members had it earmarked for a daiquiri before they finished the pour.

Most helpful positive review
Tasted this rum, a high ester blend of cane juice and molasses rum, at Whisky Live Paris 2026. The nose is intense, fruity, brine and vegetal with scents of papaya, strawberry, esters and olives. At the palate it confirms the aromas from the nose but it’s also a little oily and spicy with flavors of salt and pepper. The finish is rather long and prolongs the flavor.

Savanna Masterclass Tasting September 2026 (unfortunately caught up alone): Nice bottling of an unaged Savanna, great mix of strawberry, pineapple, and olive. I need to get a bottle of this for a Daiquiri night.

#7398 25.09.2026 - 28.09.2026 Attending the Whisky Live in Paris 2026 with a few good friends. We had a great time and it was nice to introduce them to this event which was a first for them. Quick notes while tasting. Intense, fruity, overripe, ester, spice, sugarcane, varnish, olive, salt, grass, herbs.

A successful bottling from Savanna and very good value for money! The nose is almost classically HERR, but with a hint of TradG.. which also pushes more and more forward on the palate… I would love to try that in a Daiquiri… but the high shipping costs at the moment hold me back 😉

Online RumX Savanna Tasting from 25.09.2026 Unaged white AGA, which stands for Agricole + Grand Arome. Contains a total of 190g esters and 410g congeners. Good blend, showing the floral notes of the Agricole and the funky fruity notes of the GA. On the palate, pineapple, grass, olive, and lime dominate.

What a beast. A bit of olive brine, overripe fermented papaya, guava and strawberry, a touch of cow stable and fresh spicy cheese, and just generally tons of power. You can smell it from 2 meters away. The cheese note is really not for everyone though. Even in a daiquiri, it’s subtly noticeable along with some guava jelly and brings spice like salt – kind of wild but also very crazy. Even for Savanna!😃 You gotta be in the mood for it😃. Tasty and unusual, but definitely worth it.

Savanna Masterclass: Wow, what a powerhouse for an unaged Agricole. But what else would you expect from a Grand Arome!? Very intense strawberry and olive, alongside some vegetal notes and pleasant, not overwhelming esters.
Review by Fuwi
Online Savanna Masterclass as part of WLP 2026 Profile-wise quite similar to the Lontan, olive and brine with a crazy twist of strawberry and yogurt on the palate! Plus esters and oily influences, of course grassy notes with sugarcane and a light peppery finish. Mega great value

Delicious, I definitely have to try it in a Daiquiri.

Tasted at Whisky Live Paris 2026. Another superb white from Savanna. More relaxed than the HERR white but funkier than the Creol. Fruits, esters, and brine. Great for cocktails. A real success.

Exciting new product from Savanna. After a rather average aged version, my expectations weren't that high here. But I was proven wrong. Nice new bottling. Especially great aroma on the nose, on the palate lots of olive and a bit of brine accompanied by lots of fruit.

Savanna Masterclass 2026
Review by Schorgelorsch
Tasted in the RumX Savanna Masterclass on 25.09.2026. Delicious unaged rum. The alcohol is well integrated. Although it was designed for mixing, it also tastes wonderfully complex on its own without being overwhelming.
Review by Schnubbii
Olive and pineapple at the start. Already very tasty neat, definitely a banger as a mixer. The empty glass smells like a barn.

Savanna Masterclass tasting. Rest of the samples tasted calmly afterwards. Here we have an unaged Agricole. For me, the surprise of the tasting. We don't need to talk about the color. On the nose, I first get olives and brine. Then fruity notes come in. Strawberry and citrus. Followed by vegetal aromas. All nicely intense. On the palate, the sweet strawberry immediately takes over. A smooth sweetness mixed with light citrus aromas. This continues into the medium-long finish. Fruity esters. I immediately poured an unaged Neisson as a reference. Compared to it, the AGA is clearly more on the fruity-sweet strawberry note and the Neisson clearly more on the cane sugar sweet vegetal note. Exciting stuff this AGA. A bottle will have to come and some mixers will have to be tried. Love it.

A nice fresh Savanna, light and fresh with a wet feel. Ester, strawberry and yogurt notes. A bit floral and sweet. On the palate it has power, intense, sharp, peppery but also fruity, strawberry, papaya. And yogurt cheese taste. Nice oily texture. Very fruity finish but not very long. At 57%, the alcohol is well integrated. I love this strawberry flavor like with KLK. Good value for money.
Review by Steph Genlee
On the nose, it's very pronounced on the brine, olive, with a herbal side. On the palate, the olive and briny side come out well, then the strawberry dominates the rest and makes its place. A slight length in the mouth. Neat I give it 7.8, and in a daiquiri I raise my score to 8, it's ultra funky and fruity, I love it.

Very surprising Very fruity with a rich and pleasant texture. Really a very good product that Savanna puts out, go for it with your eyes closed. Perfect in daiquiri, neat or tipunch
Review by Rum man
Does not feel super complex to me since I get two big notes: pineapple and olives. The pineapple is the fermented, sweet one. And the olives come with quite some brine. It is a very smooth and easy to drink unaged rum. I am sure that this will do well in mixing but as a sipper I also like it a lot. What a surprise this new Savanna is!
