🥃 On the eve of the Spa Rum Fair, I invite you to stop by the Rock & Rhum friends' booth, where Seb, David, and their whole crew will gladly welcome you! It's mainly a chance to discover their new 2026 bottlings: a superb trio of Braud & Quennesson white rums. 🌿 One rum, three expressions A single parcel white rum made from roseau cane (B59.92), grown on limestone soil at Habitation Grands-Fonds. Agricultural white rum AOC Martinique, Braud & Quennesson, 2025 harvest, offered in three versions: 55%, 62%, and Column Still Brut at 72.1%. 🥃 55% version — my pick of the trio After a controlled reduction, this white shows great finesse. On the nose, a lovely vegetal and floral bouquet: slightly iodized cane, white flowers… On the palate, it’s delicate and tasty, with a saline, rich, and fruity cane. The finish is long, subtle, and perfectly mastered. 👉 A true tasting white, exactly the style I appreciate! 🔥 62% version — the cellar masters’ favorite Bottled at 62%, this version is the cellar masters’ favorite. Personally, I find a slight bitterness reminiscent of citrus peel, which makes me prefer the balance and gourmandise of the 55% version. 💥 Column Still Brut 72.1% — the punch! The brand’s first Column Still Brut… and what an entrance! An impressive aromatic power with, despite the 72.1%, a remarkable integration of the alcohol. In a comparative tasting, it even knocked out La Favorite’s 2022 Brut 2 Colonnes! Now the question remains: could it rival my favorite in this style, the Longueteau Genesis? 🤔🥃 ⭐ A superb discovery, this trio. Braud & Quennesson confirms for me its place among the very fine current Martinique whites. And you, 55%, 62%, or Column Still Brut 72.1%? 👉 See you tomorrow in Spa to talk about it… and especially to taste them? 🥃
