Reduced a bit from cask strength... Nose: you can already notice the reduction to 40% on the nose... the aromas are quickly sniffed away and you have to sniff deeper. Quite fruity-spicy with grape and vanilla. There comes a somewhat artificial sweetness, candied orange peel in fruit bread and jelly beans dissolved in water. At the back some musty, leather and herbs and again vanilla. On the palate quite flat, thin and watered down. Hard to taste anything nice. There's some green apple in fruit, some anise and baking spice in spice. Sweetness of sugar dissolved in water. Apple also in the finish. That's it then. Very insignificant rum.
