Another good Special Edition. Nicely sweet, but of course sweet not from added sugar. You can taste and smell it right away. Lots of Port wine. And somehow nut-chocolate vibes. Similar to the Rumclub Red Barrel, you can really tell how well wine casks and rum go together here. Gives me strong Panama vibes. But you definitely notice it. A round, tasty thing. Strong stuff.

This is definitely a rum for sweetness. But it tastes really good. You can nicely sip it in front of the fireplace. It’s no stress, very smooth and relaxed, and also a bit sweet. The port wine really comes through. But it also has enough body and punch to not be a sweet watery thing like, for example, the famous Planteray or dos Maderas. The barrel and dried fruit flavors also linger quite a while on the palate. In short, a tasty rum when you want to keep it very relaxed.
