When looking at the price tag you get a lot for your money in my mind. A well balanced rum with nice fruits and spices. The wood is well balanced with the caramel and earthy notes. The empty glass has some sugarcane and apple.

A Trois Rivières slightly more aromatic than the 1999 vintage. Earthy tobacco notes mingle with the sugarcane, dried fruit and sweet spices on the nose. The palate is suave, bordered by spices and caramel, the latter bringing a great deal of sweetness to the juice. The finish doesn't really bring out any additional aromas, but is relatively long and faithful to the structure on the nose and palate. It's not the most complex of the Trois Rivières, but it's a cut above some of the more "prestigious" cuvées on paper.

Whisky Live Paris 2024 Messetasting. Limited time spent in the glass, initial impressions from tasting.
Review by Émile Shevek
The nose is full-bodied and perfumed, with slightly unripe red fruits, dark wood, a bit of tobacco, and at the back even something like coffee and milk chocolate. On the palate the red fruits(especially black cherry and raspberry) blend with an intense and full-bodied woodiness, at times pungent, and extremely delicious. The finish also adds some tobacco, apple, round spices and a slightly earthy hint. It seems to have +50°. It leaves the mouth flavored with a woody, corky aftertaste for more than half an hour after finishing drinking. Very good contrast between the sweetness of the Bourbon cask and the dryness of the wood, fully reflecting the 3R profile that I personally love. It seems the 2006CS more diluted and less complex. In the empty glass wood, slight roast, tobacco. Fluctuates between 9.1 and 9.2

Pas mal mais manque de profondeur. Jolie carafe cependant
