Heavenly Hampden...Develops beautifully in the glass with time Anna's banana papaya generally very much fruit , plays wonderfully together with the slight bitterness of the barrel . For me one of the best...

Very good representative of the already very convincing Hampden 1990 vintage. As expected, we encounter overripe tropical fruits, wood and spices - plus heavy sweetness, fresh green aromas and hints of meaty bacony notes. Excellent barrel selection.

Hammer part! Insanely round and balanced.

Many thanks to DevidedByZero for the sample. Nose: smells strictly like Hampden, even from a distance 😁 I find a cool minty note and it's somehow more realistic than I remember from T.D.L or old KFM. There's also smoke on the palate and once again relatively little cask influence, very tasty! The finish is long and intense with additional smoke and bacon A great Hampden but I would have to taste the 1990 and 1992 side by side to say which is better and I would bet that there is a different winner each time! What really amazes me is that there don't seem to be any of these old bottlings that have had too much cask.

From the taste fruity, more funkyness, more intense than the 1992 HLCF Treasure Cask and the rum is really fun.

What a lovely rum. From opening the bottle you can get the flavours jus oozing out. Resting it for 15 minutes sets free even more flavours. Very fruity from nose to finish. Lovely finish with a touch of barrel.

Little 1990 C<>H cross-tasting with 2x RA, RC Ed. 5, TWJ and TRC. Honestly, quite hard for me to chose a winner out of the TRC, first RA and first RC… The RC comes with highest intensity and livelyness on the palate. This comes at a bit more roughness. Yet this is extremly tasty. Outstanding stuff.

Very round and balanced 90s Hampden. For me, a few corners and edges are missing to rate the rum at the top. High standard at a high price level.

Easy sipping Hampden! Not much complexity overall... But extremely drinkable, tasty and aromatic. Fun to drink and I'll have to make a bigger comparison when the time comes.

And just recently I was acknowledging what a great Hampden 1990 C<>H the more recent Rum Club bottling is (RX14100). The similarities are obvious, both being showcases of its mark (and year). But this one is even more mature, a little bit less sour and and the solvents are less aggressive. What a gem. Many thanks to DevidedbyZero for the sample.

Not quite as epic as expected, but great HD 90.

My Hampden favorite so far. Incredibly intense and at the same time round and always surprisingly good

A full fruit basket with ripe fruit on the nose. Pineapple, banana and mango are also present. Plus some glue, varnish and vanilla. Overall a little more on the fresh side. A real explosion of flavor in the mouth. Ripe fruit without end, the whole thing is beautifully intense and creamy. Alcohol perfectly integrated. Lovely long finish. Completely picks me up and catapults straight to number 1 in my ratings. I am absolutely thrilled :)

Arguably one of the best Hampden's ever
