Like the 2006 Forsyths it does not disappoint expectations. Compared to its predecessor this has more presence of ester/solvent notes and seems less toasty...by a little. On the pineapple finish. A very satisfying tasting rum that I would never stop drinking.

After some time, when I have finished the bottle, I return to retasting thanks to the cast sample. I just can't help myself with this rum and I consider it to be perhaps the best I've had from Worthy Park. Perhaps only Quatre Vins has impressed me to the same degree. I kinda regret not having another bottle. Edit: the last drop I had poured. It's still a great Worthy Park for me

A great Jamaica Rum! In the nose solvent, lots of fruit, warm, very complex. Horny! 😄In the mouth fat, very, very complex. Ester, fruit, warm.Since I will get me a bottle!

A beautiful Worthy Park with a diverse, well-balanced profile. The nose opens with tropical fruits, then esters, solvents and glue, before giving way to spices, wood and chocolate. Complementing tobacco and a roasted sensation, beautiful pastry notes also appear, with caramel, toffee, marzipan, burnt sugar and buttery aromas. A deep, greedy, warm nose: very promising. The attack on the palate is lively and spicy, a little harder than the nose suggests. Banana, pineapple and citrus quickly fade before giving way to warm, spicy, woody, leathery and tobacco notes. The integration of alcohol could be improved. The rum here is rougher and rougher, and needs a little rest. The finish is of medium length, with a fleeting hint of exotic fruits and dried fruits. Dry, warm and somewhat bitter, the palate is overwhelmed by spices (chili, pepper, aniseed and licorice), dark chocolate, leather, wood (cask), tobacco and smoky notes. A saline touch is also perceptible. Compared with the 2006 vintage, the nose is more savory, but the attack on the palate is more aggressive and less controlled. The finish leaves a similar impression. All in all, a fine bottling from Velier.

Blindtasting Worthy Park with: HV WPL (RX272) HV WPM (RX1089) Schotman (RX17173) Wolfgang Klotz (RX21848) TWJ (RX14182) 3rd place (8.4): TWJ. The nose is quite closed and ends up being a bit unbalanced on both the nose and the palate. Slightly bitter on the palate and also on the finish. 2nd place (8.6): HV WPL + WK Spirits. The WK has more wood and spices overall and, with plenty of time in the glass, also more fruity aromas. The HV WPL also needs a little time in the glass, but then has a beautifully complex nose. On the palate, alongside trop. Fruits on the palate as well as subtle glue and esters. 1st place (8.7): HV WPM + Schotman. The Schotman is probably the most rounded WP in crosstasting with a nice peach note. The WPM stands out somewhat with its smoky aromas and licorice. WP has been under my radar so far, wrongly so. I am really positively surprised and will probably have a WP in my glass more often in the future :)

A nose of overripe banana and solvents, sponge cake sweetness, yellow fruit and supporting oak; lively and aromatic, this nose has it all. A sweet, undiluted, greedy, fruity entry to the palate, before the aromas take hold and develop, with even a pleasant vegetal edge. The finish is quite long and beautiful, but over time it becomes a little one-sided, on wood, roast, pineapple and yellow fruit.

Another wonderful rum from Habitation and typical Jamaican. The nose starts off funky from opening the bottle. Once rested for 15 minutes you're going to be welcomed by a very fruity nose with vanilla and a tad of polish/varnish. In the back there is a bit of wood. The palate is also setting off funky and fruity with a spicy peppery touch. In the background I get olive, tobacco and wonderful oak. The finish is long and pepper spicy with fruits and oak.

On the nose, the Worthy Park fruit basket remains in the background and is overlaid by nut, toast and chocolate. On the palate, it then turns a bit towards the typical WP fruit basket while remaining very spicy. Ester remains at the bottom. The finish is a bit salty with pepper and mocha.

Quick sampling of a sample base with a buddy. Great worthy park profile so banana pastry all the way.

Tropical aging is something beautiful. In the nose a lot of fruit. Palate does not quite deliver what the nose promises. Woodier and spicier. Slightly salty on the finish. Great.

It makes itself drinkable and is very pleasant. Tasted again after some time. Nice color, excellent nose as well as palate and above all very drinkable somewhat like Capovilla's fruit distillates. Compared to the WPM mark I find it slightly less spritzy. (PS: the rating, like impressions, are purely personal)

Very nice bottling from Worthy Park, unfortunately becoming increasingly difficult to obtain. Very classic on the nose, tropical fruits and esters rise up. On the palate I was positively surprised by the olive note, otherwise familiar funky esters and tropical fruits.

Worthy Park is my least favorite Jamaican distillery. The rums I’ve tasted so far are nice but not mind blowing and this one is not different. Classic banana, pineapple with a little ester and wood both in nose and taste.
