What a way to end the evening. All bang for your bucks. Thanks to the host for giving us a go at this nice bottle. All the car one flavours are there, it's intense and complex and the roasted notes compliment the overall profile.

Very good representative of the 1994 vintage! In the nasi great Caroni DNA without being too dirty. Then perfectly balanced on the palate with a great bitterness and mint. A real experience!

Legendary release from Velier. It is more or less the same profile as 1994 Guyana Yellow with a way better balanced mouth. Truely amazing 😋

Epic Velier Caroni Tasting 2023: A bit more balanced than other 1994 Caronis, not carrying the same aromatic intensity - yet still impressively complex with aromas of tar, rubber, wood, pepper, coffee, vanilla, caramel, tobacco, and mint. I like the "rawness" of the other 1994 expressions a bit more, but this rum is also an exquisite release.

Bitter and oily ... Caroni is a distillery from Trinidad, producing at its peak a rum that was added in a ratio of 1:10 into naval blends. It was too strong and strange to be pleasant on the tongue. The distillery ended production and closed in 2000. Only in 2010 did tasters appear who liked the rum precisely for its special taste. Interest grew. Caroni belongs to the category of rums "you need to try before you die." I recommend it, Caroni is truly a unique rum.
