It's a 2003 T.D.L column-still rum aged 12 years, but the story most tasters tell is sweetness — one calls it "almost undrinkable, this is soooooo sweet," and a couple say it reads watered-down at 42%. #6661 15.04.2026 Still at home and not too well, so will try with a few more samples to see if I can kill off the bugs. Not the best of releases, but you can not win the game every single time. They experiment a lot at Planteray as it is called today and the quality jumps up and down a lot. The profile is fruity with some coconut and earthy notes.

Oak, vanilla, and arrack on the nose with a bit of sweetness from tropical fruits. The taste is very sweet and slightly watered down. Unfortunately, only a hint of the typical Trinidad notes comes through. The finish is woody with a faint touch of leather, spices, and tobacco. Unfortunately, not really a hit.

I expected more from this plantation vintage 2016. Not s typical Trinidad . On nose, raisins and candid fruit and peaches. On palate, sweet, candid fruit and caramel. Finish is rather short, a little flat and sweet.

Beautiful matte for a bottle under 100e. Although alcohol can be felt, but very drinkable. I recommend it even to beginners for discovering new flavours. Mata from TDL is an unmistakable taste that you will never get tired of.

Oak, vanilla and arrak on the nose and some sweetness from tropical fruits. Taste is not as sweet as hinted by the nose but rather a burnt or roasted oak flavour. I think I sense some peppery tones along with some dried fruits. The finish is woody with a faint touch of leather, spice and tobacco.

A very poor representation of Trinidad . The nosing is quite gasoline like and very sweet Tasting is just of cloyed sugar that is definitely additives . Poor showing
