After a huge aeration, it has a superbly complex nose of citrus, nutmeg, and pineapple. On the palate, it's light but very elegant on tropical fruits and pineapple! Beautiful product.

Thinking about the price you get a pretty good rum for your money. Due to the ABV you get a "light" version of a Savanna, but all the flavours are still there. You have to rest this one for a while in order to pick up the roasted notes! Elegant and fruity nose with spices and roasted wood as well as a hint of metal. The palate is well balanced between the candied fruit and roasted wood. I love the floral notes mixed with light chocolate. The finish is medium long with raisin and vanilla and in the back some light roasted notes.

Tried at the tasting with the Rhum Club Paris, nice product, easy to drink. Perfect as a quality-price ratio especially for entry level. Too bad the strength is a bit low, which makes it a bit light for more experienced drinkers. With a few degrees more, "maybe" it would have been a notch higher!

N: Wood shavings, heavy on the licorice, caramel. Bready. Dried fruit, banana and apple. T: wood, orange, tropical fruits, leather. It's definitely a hell of a lot fruitier than a standard molasses aged rum. Tannins are out in force, but the fruit tames them. F: dried fruit that borders into red fruit, orange, banana, wood. Vanilla and maybe a little cinnamon. I really like how the woody finish combines with the fruit, here. Very pleasant finish.

80. Tasting at the Rhum Club Paris evening with Savanna. 2nd in the series after the 5 years. Fine woody nose, wax. Empty glass: dried grape, cinnamon. Mouth: beautiful spice, heavy honey, caramelized apple, slight astringency, nuts. Very easy to drink. 2nd note 75. Nose: waxed parquet, white fruit, quince compote. Mouth: light acidity, round fresh parquet, orangeade. Short finish, i.e. wood.
