Trois Rivières Finish Whisky Fûts Single Malt
One member called the nose "a war between whisky and rum," and that split runs through the whole bottle. This is a young Martinique agricole finished in single malt whisky casks, so you get sugar cane and orange peel wrapped in oak, peat and a light smoky, almost medicinal edge. Some find it a genuinely interesting twist; others feel the cask and spirit never quite marry.

Ein fruchtiger und holziger Geruch, Zuckerrohr, etwas rauchig nach Whisky. Der Geschmack ist zu gleichen Teilen fruchtig und holzig-rauchig, leicht medizinisch. Eine sehr gelungene Kombination.

Un nez ou le whisky est en guerre contre le rhum et le résultat ne me plaît pas beaucoup. Comme un cave avec des pommes qui vieillissent en bouche. Une bouche très douce, diluée. Pas désagréable mais on est en droit d’en attendre plus, non ?
