Ein kräftiges Aroma, Vanille, Ester, alkoholisch mit etwas Frucht. Der Geschmack ist kräftig, holzig und etwas Rauchig, leicht scharf und pfeffrig, erinnert an einen Whisky.

This is not the best Monymusk I have had but not a bad one either. You get what you pay for in my mind. I like the smoked wood going through the profile with light fruit and spices. I would have loved a better balance and some more punch to it.

Je länger die Flasche stand umso besser wurde er. Anfangs doch sehr scharfkantig. In der Nase viele gelbe Früchte,Lack und Ester, und dieser oft erwähnte Buttersäure Geruch, echt Wild. Im Mund dann pfeffrig,schafkantig,wärmt gut durch.Der Alkohol ist spürbar. Dazu kommen leichte Aromen vom Holz,Kakao,Rauch und er ist ein wenig erdig. Beim öffnen der Flasche hat er mich echt überfordert, aber zum Ende hin mag ich ihn,er hat viele Ecken und Kanten. Aber PLV top.

Der Alkohol ist leider sehr schlecht eingebunden. Selbst nach langer Standzeit ist der Alkohol noch sehr präsent. Ansonsten fruchtige Noten, leicht medizinisch, etwas Gewürze. Leider etwas enttäuschend

Clarendon Vergleich CDI, RA, TRC Der hier gefällt mir schon mal sehr viel besser als der CDI. Der Fruchtkorb ist dem CDI ähnlich hat jedoch noch zusätzlich Melone, Banane, Orangenschalen, außerdem ist er insgesamt komplexer und runder mit Klebstoff, Anis, süßem Bratapfel und Keksteig. Im Mund sehr viel öliger und voller. Leicht süß, fruchtig und feinwürzig. Trotz allem bleibt auch hier die Frucht relativ einseitig im Vordergrund, was mir etwas too much ist. Insgesamt ist er jedoch sehr viel kompletter

In terms of profile, it's not my thing. Spiciness and smoke are very present. It seems unbalanced with individual notes of ester and fruit. There are also hints of fermented milk, with slightly musty tones. Not my cup of tea. I see it more in a cocktail than neat in a glass.

Nase: dezent für Jamaika, aber Vanille, Pfeffer, Lack und leicht fruchtige Noten sowie Honig. Gaumen: sehr pfeffriger Auftakt. Scharf, dann kurz Kakao und die Säure übernimmt, Holz folgt. Abgang: lang, vollmundig, bitter. Fazit: Zu pfeffrig für einen Jamaikaner. Es gibt bessere und wesentlich komplexe Rums aus dieser Region.
