Ferroni Santo Antao Vulcao
If you already chase clairin and raw cane-juice grogue, this Cape Verde pot-still is your lane. Unaged and grassy, it swings between fresh sugarcane and pear on the nose and a heavy nail-polish, solvent streak that not everyone gets past. The palate turns vegetal, mineral, peppery, a little salty. One taster caught real fermented funk; another found it thin and watery. Divisive by nature.
The community says- Fresh cane juice
- Clairin-style funk
- But: Loud nail polish

How does Ferroni Santo Antao Vulcao taste?
Aggregated from 23 community reviews.
Raw, solvent-heavy Cape Verde cane spirit Split hard. Fans of clairin-style cane spirit like the grassy, smoky funk; others find the solvent and nail-polish too loud, and one thought it tasted watered down.

Barbosa, M&G, Vulcao in comparison... Nose: vegetal, fermented and slightly vinegar, a little more lemon than the other two. Again sauerkraut and cucumber. Nose closer to the M&G, very light caramel note and slightly resinous. Palate: similar to the M&G, superficially sour, slightly salty and resinous. Artificially planty and herbal. A somewhat unpleasant lemon balm and toilet stone mixture. Unfortunately, I don't really like it either. Of the three, the Barbosa is the most pleasing.

Not bad, just nothing exciting to be found here
Review by Mc Pirate
