Der ist echt nicht so gut. Sehr pflanzliche und erdige Nase, außerdem recht alkoholisch. Am Gaumen haben wir dann eine leichte Süße, holzig und pfefferig ist er, kommt aber auch wirklich verwässert daher.

Unusual. From the smell, I would guess agricole. Sweetish-plant notes covered by musty yeast. The taste is again very unusual. Sweet pear on tea and young wood, again agricole-like.

Ein ungewöhnlicher Rum, der eher an Tequila erinnert. Erdige, pflanzliche Noten, überreife Birne und eine deutliche Süße sorgen für ein eigenständiges Profil, dass trotz der 40% ein spürbares Alkoholbrennen aufweist und in der Nase seltsam metallisch wirkt. Wer klassischen Rum erwartet, wird eher enttäuscht sein.

With all due respect to my Swiss friends, your country should stick with what you do the best. Rum distillation is not a part of your craft. Nose is reminiscent of home made booze or fruity strawbery schnaps and strawbery jam/marmalade. Taste is surprisingly sweet, unexpectedly sweet which reminds me a cream/strawbery lollipop 🍭. This is not my cup of rum.

Next up today is the Banqero Rum from Switzerland. Actually tastes quite interesting. Already very spicy on the nose and some pepper comes through in the taste. Also a bit woody.

Day 10 on 24 days of rum calendar. Like someone just dropped a sugar cube into a shot of nail polish remover. I'm glad these minis are small at least. It smoothes out a little after a few sips, but not exactly balanced, to say the least.

24 Days of Rum 2024 - Black Edition - Day 10 First impression: heavy, sweet, fruity Nose: fruit and yeast aromas, sweet, reminds me of Dunder, very tasty (7+) Palate: sweet, fruity, pleasantly lightly spicy Finish: medium-short, aromas develop into darker notes Overall impression: a real surprise, in a blind tasting I would have guessed a sweetened Jamaican. I like the dunder, sweetness, and light spices. A cozy after-work sipper. Might even go well with food.

A very strange combination of aromas from the agricole spectrum, caramel and technical tones. The taste is original, herbal, slightly bitter with pear, caramel and spices. The finish consists of fresh herbs, spices, schnapps, citrus and pear.

Well, I don't know, but for me this rum has a terrible aftertaste, I smell a spirit. Some flavors are interesting, but because of that alcoholic spirit odor, I don't want it again.
