Erinnert an einen singel malt whiskey der im Mund umschwenkt in ein wenig süße. Leichte Alkohol Schärfe, die aber sehr zurückhaltend ist. Im Abgang klassisch Eiche wie beim Single malt Whisky. Für Whisky Liebhaber nur zu empfehlen.

Blindverkostung: eine sehr fruchtige Nase, die mich sofort an einen Obstler-St. Lucia/Bellevue ’98 Mix denken lässt – sehr interessant. Am Gaumen dann leider die Ernüchterung: ein sehr dünner und junger Rum, der wohl auf 43-44% verdünnt wurde und dem das Wasser nicht gut getan hat. Der Gaumen ist leider viel weniger komplex und aromatisch als die Nase vermuten lässt. Alterstechnisch würde ich ihn auf ca. 3-6 Jahre schätzen. Leider ist für mich auch nicht greifbar, ob es sich hier um ein Melasse oder ein Zuckerrohrsaft Destillat handelt, da ich diese Art von Rum noch nicht getrunken habe. Eine Einschätzung ist hier für mich auch nicht möglich, da es sich höchstwahrscheinlich um einen Exoten handelt. 67 Punkte
