Very tasty rum for a reasonable price. It is a soft, light rum with a smooth finish and a great bottle for an evening with beginners in the rum world. However, if you want a bit more punch, this rum will disappoint you. Possibly also good in mixed drinks, although there is a good chance it will get lost in sharper notes.

#7294 13.09.2026 Running a few samples after my bike training to try and loosen up my stiff legs. Watching the TV series The Last Woodsmen. Vewry cheap rum that I think should be used as a mixer. Fruity profile with spice, molasses, chocolate, roasted wood, sugarcane, dry, herbs and some honey.

The nose is rather subtle. There's sandal wood and some tropical fruits. A cinnamon spice lingering in the background with pencil shavings. The palate is dry and peppery with big sugarcane notes. A splash of smoky, roasted black coffee. The finish is peppery, warm and medium in the length. Overall, it's a nice sipper but is too dry for my palate.

Very tasty rum for a reasonable price. Ideal for beginners who want to discover the new world of rum and don't want to make expensive purchases right away. Soft finish and a great bottle to spend an evening with the guys. As my seller said, a 'card bottle'

Read full review →It works better in cocktails or with tonic/lemonade which don't overwhelm the rum quite so much. All in all though it's not bad at all for the money and offers something different so credit to Berry Bros & Rudd for that. I'll be reviewing all four rums in this range...
