Blind tasting: Nose says Agricole, as fresh cane sugar can be smelled, lots of oak and daddles are added. The oak continues on the palate. Salt, vanilla and a slight acidity in the form of unripe red fruits such as blackberries are added. The finish is medium to long and again shows oak with a slight sweetness. This rum reminds me of Clement, J. M or J. Bally rhums and should be from Martinique, 42-44% and around 10 years old. I would rule out Guadeloupe, as well as Trois Rivieres, Depaz and Neisson, as these rums have a different profile. 74 points

Agricoles are not exactly my specialty either, but I have already drunk a few more of them than whiskies. This rum reminds me of Clement, J. M or J. Bally rhums and should be from Martinique, 42-44% and about 10 years old. I would exclude Guadeloupe, as well as Trois Rivieres, Depaz and Neisson, as these rums have a different profile. 74 points.
