Dried apricot, walnut and old oak lead here, with cocoa, leather and a grassy agricole backbone underneath. Most tasters find the 45% beautifully tucked away — soft, round, almost Cognac-like. The common gripe: the palate can feel a touch thin or diluted next to that lovely nose, and bitter tannins creep into the finish. A gentle, mature Martinique rhum.

RumX Adventskalender 2024 Tag 1 Angenehme Süßlich Florale Nase Würzig aber sehr mild. Etwas Seifig Bitter im Mund... etwas Menthol. Alkohol kaum spürbar weder in der Nase noch am Gaumen . Lecker aber etwas Flach .

Tag 1. RumX Adventskalender Bei der Blindverkostung habe ich schon in die richtige Richtung getippt. Leider ist dieser ganze französische Stil nicht mein Favorit von Profil. Nett ihn probieren zu dürfen, aber ich werde nicht so richtig warm damit. Seit den Velier St.James Tasting bin ich da ein gebrannten Kind.

Blindverkostung Rum X Adventskalender 2024, 1. Advent Auf jeden Fall ein Rum aus Zuckerrohrsaft. Wäre hier eher bei Martinique, gut gereift (15 Jahre+?), niederer ABV mit einer 4 vorne. Bin kein Agricole Fan, aber schätze den Adventskalender vor allem auch dafür, dass man Sachen probiert, die man sonst nicht probieren würde. Der hier schmeckt mir ganz gut.

Calendrier de l’Avent RumX, jour 1. Un nez de fruits, de végétal, de bois jeunes, d’herbes sèches et comme un côté fermenté et du vernis. La bouche n’est pas au niveau et paraît diluée dans un premier temps mais ensuite les arômes remontent. Un côté fumé apparaît avec du vieux bois. La finale est plutôt courte mais du bois amer persiste assez longtemps. Un rhum un peu déséquilibré et trop dilué à mon goût mais son nez reste très beau.

Nr. 1 des RumX Adventskalender 2024. Ich muss sagen, die Nase gefällt mit sehr gut, Holz, Fass, würzig, Kaffee und für mich viel Schokolade. Am Gaumen schwächelt er dann etwas, kommt nicht an die schöne Nase ran. Finde auch, man spürt den Alkohol zu deutlich.

RumX Kalender 2024 Day 1: An der Nase Kräuter, Gras, Holz, Vanille. Schöne Balance, aber recht zurückhaltend. Am Gaumen kommen ein paar Gewürze, Röstnoten ala Guyana sowie eine gewisse Seifigkeit hinzu. Tippe auf Agricole der schon ein paar Jahre auf dem Buckel hat. Eventuell Rhum JM?

Tag 1 des RumX-Adventskalenders: Hier gibt es einen sanften und eleganten Einstieg in die anstehenden Adventsverkostungen. Erkennbare Reife und ein damit verbundener, ordentlicher Eicheneintrag, ohne in holzige Bitterkeit abzudriften. Durch die feine Fruchtbegleitung von Traube und Aprikose mitsamt dezenten Tropenfruchtaromen erinnert es fast ein wenig an einen Cognac. Wenn der Abgang noch nachhaltiger wäre, würde er mir noch besser gefallen, aber auch so gefällt mir dieser Tropfen wirklich gut.

#4537 11.01.2024 My palate is back to normal and actually hyper sensitive at the moment. Preparing for the tasting we have tomorrow. This is also a pretty well balanced rum though a bit light. Medium fruity and a nice balanced palate. The finish is medium long with a surprising nougat finish. Love the floral touch in the profile. Draws nice curtains in the glass and the empty glass has some light coffee and licorice.

Tag 2 RumX Adventskalender Klassisches Agricole Profil ordentlich Trockenfrüchte mit Holzeinfluss sowie eine ordentliche Portion Grasigkeit. Insgesamt ein guter Agricole bei dem das ein höherer Alkoholgehalt mit Sicherheit gut getan hätte.

RumX Adventskalender 2025: Nr. 1 Ein sehr schöner Einstieg in den Advent mit einem sehr guten Rum. Schöne dunkle Farbe. Würzige Einflüsse in der Nase und Geschmack mit leichten pfeffrigeren Noten. Deswegen würde ich hier auf einen Agricole tippen (Martinique?)

Blindverkostung 1.12. 2024 Wow ist der dunkel mit schönen rot-braunen Reflektionen! Nase: auf jeden Fall französischer Stil. Sehr angenehm in der Nase. Viel Frucht, nicht so vordergründig grasig, ein wenig Holz, viel dunkle Schokolade und Walnüsse. Sehr ausgewogen und mild. Am Gaumen ebenfalls mild und wieder sehr fassettenreich und komplex. Getrocknete Aprikose und Fass fallen zuerst auf, außerdem Fasseinflußund leichteBitterkeit (nicht unangenehm). Schöner harmonische Nachklang. Für mich auf jeden Fall ein Agricole, der mit besser gefällt.

RumX-Adventskalender Türchen Nummer 1 🤩 In der Nase erstmal würzig holzig, dann toll eingebundene Fruchtnoten. Aprikose, Apfel. Im Geschmack etwas dreckiger, viel weniger frucht, dafür viel mehr Holz und eine grasige Note.

In der Nase verschlossen mit schöner Würze und roten Früchten. Am Gaumen intensiver Fasseinfluss. Wirkt wie ein starkes Rotwein oder Cognac Finish. Viele Bitterstoffe. Floral, Modrig, streng und trocken. Abgang kurz und bitter. Alter Agricole? Hatte das Profil noch nicht im Glas. Daher schwer zu sagen.

Update : Schöner agricole aber die Tannine sind mir hier zu intensiv, dazu eher ziemlich bitter und röstig. Abgesehen davon Kakao, Zimt, Vanille und Leder sowie Baumharz. Im Abgang dann aber durchaus elegant mit einem mittellangen Abgang und auch nicht zu dünn. Eben etwas worauf man sich einlassen muss und der etwas Zeit um ihn genießen zu können braucht.

My guess is a Clement in the ageing range of an XO or a bit older. The spirit is mainly wood driven, with nuttiness and little else both on the nose and on the palate, which is really thin and bitter. The finish is a bit longer, still not enough to increase my score
