Sipped neat, this is a cask-strength Martinique agricole that drinks fuller than most of the style: orange and grapefruit peel, dark chocolate, dried plum and noble oak, with the grassy vegetal edge sitting quietly underneath. Several tasters flagged a cognac-like character from the small French oak. A touch of bitterness and heat at 58%, but most find it rounds out beautifully with air.

Depaz liefert wieder. Ein Agricole wie aus dem Lehrbuch. Etwas bitter, holzig, fruchtig und natürlich typisch pflanzlich agrigole Noten. Kommt an die 2002er Jahrgänge nicht ran, aber bietet diesen auf jeden Fall die Stirn.

Al naso è davvero bello. Principalmente sentori di agrumi poi caramello e liquirizia, un accenno di frutti rossi. Davvero bello. Purtroppo al palato mi ha deluso per la grande sensazione calorica ed alcolica. All' ingresso nota di caramello che chiude subito in sentore amaro di buccia d'arancia e pompelmo, agricolo.

Unfassbar schöner agricole single cask. Extrem smooth, harmonisch, schön leichte süße, Mirabelle, Bitterorange, rote Trauben, Honig und dunkle Zartbitter Schokolade mit Meersalz, etwas grapefruit & orangenschalen Abrieb... Unfassbar lecker und elegant. Grandiose Abfüllung! Für mich definitiv ein Benchmark Cask Strength Agricole !

Die Depaz Single Casks in Fassstärke sind immer wieder ein Erlebnis im positiven Sinne. So auch dieser.. die Würze, der Fasseinschlag, und Frucht und zum Schluss die typische pflanzliche Agricolenote sind perfekt ausbalanciert! Klasse

Moving up two points, after a retasting. One of the better agricoles I had so far (out of not that many). Nicely complex. Some sulphur, especially on the nose, but not an issue. Wonderful, i love the apple honey smell and loads of mirabelles, oranges, grapes in taste, hint of licorice and a sulphur note. on finish i have some floral honey sweetness with a bit of tartness. Finish not too long, but overall round and very enjoyable rum. Thanks Dr Django for the sample.

Ein alter Rum. Diese Nase wirkt zurückhaltend, aber der Gaumen hat eine trockene und gleichzeitig elegante Kraft, die mit Gewürzen, Früchten und Holz auftritt. Die pflanzliche Frische eines Agricoles ist ebenso bemerkbar wie die Ähnlichkeiten mit einem Cognac.

Und dann einen Agricole, tu ich mich aber grad schwer mit. Bestimmt ein super Rum, aber grad nicht meins. Meines Erachtens zu viele Zitrusfrüchte in der Nase und am Gaumen. Leider zu wenig Holz und Gewürze.

Looking at the price tag you get a lot for your money in my mind. A beautiful and well balanced rum with nice Agricole notes. Fruity and fresh with nice wood notes. Draws really nice curtains in the glass and the empty glass has some chocolate and light nutty notes.

I’m on a never ending quest to find some rums that pair well with cigars. The woody and fruity flavours go almost perfectly with the cigar. The citrus taste is very pleasant as are the chocolate notes in the finish. There is also a slight sweetness present which marries well with the taste of the cigar.

Martinique with a capital M. Superbly intense, with a big, greedy woodiness. The spices are very present. When I opened the bottle, I was bothered by a very pronounced nutmeg aspect. Oxidation has smoothed this out.

Wow - bin positiv begeistert. Die Kombination des Agricole mit genau diesem Fass (ich denke mal Armagnac oder Cognac) hat ein grandioses Ergebnis erzielt. Der Agricole bringt weniger pflanzliche, aber umso mehr Zitrusfruchtaromen mit sich. Daneben schönes Holz und Schokolade. Das Fass sorgt für Cognac/ Trauben Aromen. Alkohol perfekt eingebunden!

Extraordinary agricol rhum. Full of fruits. Apple and tropical. Bitter herbal and wood in a good way. Earthy. Chocolate. Beautiful. בקבוק רום אגריקול פשוט מעולה. הרבה פעמים אגריקול באחוזים האלה מרגיש אלכוהולי מאוד. פה יש שעווה. פירות מכל הסוגים. עשבוניות. הכל במקום ובצורה אלגנטית וטעימה. יהלום נסתר מבחינתי דפז. קנייה.

Peccato per la botte piccola .. marca troppo il gusto e riduce l’olfatto. ( in rispetto alla 2002, che trovo superba ) Mandorle , limone candito , terroir Martinica ben presente : sapido , terroso, freschezza ma con una punta leggera di amaro/alcolico .

Un peu moins de fruit et un peu plus d'epices (par rapport au 2000) Au nez je retrouve notamment le pruneau et fruits a coques toujours avec le bois tres noble present. On a des notes bcp plus gourmandes que sur le 1er avec de la compoté de fruits et des notes fraiches d'eucalyptus. Ce cote medicinal me fait presque penser a un guyana tout en gardant la trame agricole. Degust 2 : me plaît moins que la 1ere fois. Notes de cacao. On dirait presque un cognac
