This is definitely a rum made for mixers. Off balance and not what you're used to from Saint James.

Starts tasting unbalanced, sharp, and with the taste of rubber. After the initial disgust comes dark chocolate and a bit of fruit. But that can't save the bad impression. The finish is the only thing good about this rum. Taste impression: disgusting!

First St. James; needed and aged agricole for the bar and this one fits the bill. Not as good as similarly aged JM in my opinion, and Neisson I like better than either, but a solid product with nice woody and roasted notes with a very agricole finish.
