Saint James Vieux Agricole
Poured over ice or into a rum-and-cola, this Martinique agricole makes more sense than it does neat. Expect grassy sugarcane, woody and roasted notes, vanilla and a spicy, slightly bitter finish. One taster called it an "honest" everyday agricole — grassy and unfussy — while others found it sharp, off-balance and a bit rubbery straight.

First St. James; needed and aged agricole for the bar and this one fits the bill. Not as good as similarly aged JM in my opinion, and Neisson I like better than either, but a solid product with nice woody and roasted notes with a very agricole finish.

Startet geschmacklich unausgewogen, scharf und mit dem Geschmack von Gummi. Nach dem ersten Ekel kommt dunkle Schokolade und ein wenig Frucht. Das kann den schlechten Eindruck aber nicht retten. Der Abgang ist das einzige, was an diesem Rhum gut ist. Geschmackeindruck: ekelhaft!
