8,3:On the nose, smoky, roasted wood notes with cream toffee, leather, spicy vanilla, allspice, bananas, dried apricots, grassy molasses, fresh with tea, mild, strong barrel impact, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, metallic patina arrives, the molasses is earthy with tobacco, dark with licorice, milk chocolate, coffee, cardboard notes join, some lemon. 8,1:On the palate, the attack is creamy, slightly tannic with roasted wood notes like pastry, milk chocolate, cream toffee, crunchy bread, leather, nutty, smoky, slightly burnt, spicy with allspice, fruity, sour with dried fruits like raisins and apricots, some banana, grapes, when the rum is well oxidized, some of the fruits become rotten, as the molasses is slightly waxy, earthy with tobacco. 8,1:The finish is medium long, dry&tannic, with smoky, roasted wood notes like nuts, milk chocolate, leather, mocha, almonds, spicy, medicinal with iodine, fruity with lemon, dried fruits, banana, hints of coconut, as the molasses is dark with licorice..

Gehört leider eher zu den schlechteren Chairmans. Nase ist noch sehr ansprechend, sehr röstig (Kaffee), aber auch holzig und fassig. Am Gaumen bleibt nucht mehr viel von der Röstigkeit, stattdessen viel Traube, aber auch sauer und bitter, leider.

Nachdem wir ja in der Franconian Tasting Gang einen waren Chairman’s Nerd haben, hatte ich schon einige davon im Glas. Bei diesem muss ich aber zugeben, dass er eher einer der "schlechteren" ist, der mich nicht ganz überzeugen konnte.
