Asta Morris Bielle Rasta Morris 2011
Most tasters land around "very good Bielle" — well-integrated alcohol despite the 53.9%, with caramel, pastry dough, vanilla and a peppery, spiced core. A few call it a touch light and short, and a couple find the pepper or the ester profile too much. One reviewer even shrugs it off entirely. Sugar-cane-juice agricole from Marie Galante, eight years old, distillate-forward.
- Well-integrated alcohol
- Complex and balanced
- Long peppery finish

Great Bielle. Roasted flavors, alcohol super integrated. Everything fits and at a fair price.

Another very good Agricole...with an amazing nose of fruit (banana-coconut mix and lots of vanilla. Very intense and complex on the palate. I also taste an ethereal aniseed note. Unusual, but good. In addition to the spices, a vanilla-coconut aroma is also recognizable in the finish. Delicious

A beautiful Bielle from AStA Morris. It has everything that a very good Bielle should have. In my opinion, however, it doesn't really stand out from the other bottlings I've already had in my glass. Nevertheless, a very fine, successful drop.

Gefällt mir noch besser als der (auch schon sehr gute) #RM021!

Rule 1: give it time to breathe.... a looong time... I does need it in my opinion. Rule 2: don't attempt to have it casually, it demands your attention. I did and was a bit puzzled what I had there, tasting blind and having no idea about what it was. Rule 3: order some more, as it is good! See the other parts of this review for more details, but I found this quite intense in general and with wood influence. The aftertaste was very long, that cask and leather made itself comfortable my palate for some time, and that was nice. Not what I expected, but I grew to it until I found the sample was empty.

I love the distillery and i also love the bottler (the brand, not the man!). Fruits are fully there, spices are so sweet and well melted to the whole plus a little toasted oak and varnish in the way. Final is not extraordinary long and some may find this rum a bit "light" compared to others but personally i think that it's exactly this "subtlety" that wins it all. December 2022 edit Last glass today of this distillate forward Bielle. So much happening through the palate and still the freshness and purity of a ti punch at the end. A belter here, glad to have another bottle awaiting!

Nose: greedy caramel and licorice aromas. It is complex, rich, it is a candy. A few moments later, the nose is filled with exotic fruits (banana, passion fruit...) All this is multiplied tenfold for the 13 years old with a persistent note of Anise that I love. I find this nose magical, I am afraid to taste it in order not to be disappointed so much its nose is what I like in a rum! Mouth: it is dense and balanced, the alcohol is perfectly integrated. It is all in softness, nothing aggressive. The caramel of the nose makes directly speak about him...

Very good Bielle. Clearly better in my eyes#RM021 (even if I probably gave it 1-2 points too few ). Alcohol is very well integrated, nice spicy notes, dried fruit (apricot), a little licorice and violets. Nice finish.

A very nice Bielle. Maybe a bit light and short but it is really well done. Fans of agriculture will definitely enjoy it!

Sehr guter Bielle, der eine hohe Komplexität mit einer schönen Balance und dem richtigen Reifegrad verbindet. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Very nice Bielle with a somewhat peppery finish, a little too peppery for me. Otherwise, further spicy influences as well as chocolate and beautiful vanilla are mixed in. Very nice spicy and sweetish influences on the nose. Overall a very good rum.

Very nice smell of pastries and carmel, in taste also a bit of earthiness and aniseed, a bit peppery. A not too long finish with a milky chocolate.

Beauty Bielle !

Karamel a sladkosti.
