I don't understand the low ratings. Yes it's a very standard rum, quite basic, but I find it to be perfectly fine. It is a little weaker than other rums at 35%, but otherwise quite decent.

Good for mixing cocktails

This rum was never intended to be sipped neat. It is a pure mixer and so I will review it for how it was intended to be used. The idea behind carta blanca, as the name also implies, is to filter out as much as possible of the color and flavors of the rum to create something very neutral, almost like a vodka of rum of sorts. This allows other ingredients to shine, makes flavor prediction far easier for mixologists, and creates an excellent base for various rum infusions. As such this product is a great success. As a sipping rum this is a 2, as a mixer about 5 (somewhat overrated b/c lack of flavor starts to hold you back pretty quick) but as an infusion tool it’s a 7.

Solo per cocktails.

It is what it is. At least is doesn’t have an insane level of stuff added to it like Goslings. It makes a fine (second, or third) daiquiri, although not one that will impress.

Sharp, strong petroleum taste, nice fruit notes, spicy at the end near the back of the tongue . It smells much better than it taste more fruity less gas like. For a cheap white rum it’s okey but there is definitely better rum for the same price one would be Ron Santiago de Cuba 3 year old or 8 the 11 is the step up meaning it’s not in the same level it’s a weak 4.5/10 brilliant mixer rum but weak for a sipper, good for beginners

Blank rum for mixing in cocktails or cola. Pure rather not, because very thin and medicinal.

Not bad. Clean. No burning alcohol taste. Something to add to mixed drinks. Go-to for fruity drinks, sub in for tequilas in mixed drinks at cheap bars.

Blind tasted it would also pass as vodka. For me, this is nothing at all.

Joa was soll man sagen, hier verpasst man nix. Seinen Zweck erfüllt er aber als mix Rum in solchen Rezepten, wo damit lediglich der Alkoholgehalt erhöht werden soll, ohne weitere Aromen ins Spiel zu bringen.

Taste is more like medical alcohol than decent rum. Some sweetness and spices in the taste, but not really enjoyable.
