Trotz der langen Lagerung kaum holzig. Dafür sind die meisten Noten die einen Rum aus Zuckerrohrsaft auszeichnen über die Zeit ziemlich gedämpft worden. Sehr süß, obwohl nach Aussage am Messestand nicht nachgezuckert. Das Rotwein-Finish ist nicht sehr aufdringlich.Eigentlich kein schlechter Einsteiger-Rum, der die Agricole- uns Melasse-Welt irgendwie verbindet.

Die Nase dieses Agricole-Rums aus La Palma ist sehr rund mit leckeren Aromen. Dieser 20 Jahre alte Rum wurde weitere 2 Jahre in spanischen Rotweinfässern gelagert, was ihm gut tut, auch wenn es ihm eine deutliche Süße zufügt. Ein weiterer Schwachpunkt sind die 42% und der Preis ist eher hoch. Die 1994er Version ist nochmal würziger/schärfer, diese Version neigt stark zu Rotwein.

Für mich eher die Kategorie Einsteigerrum. Der Abgang ist ziemlich kurz. Trotzallem nicht schlecht, trifft aber zur Zeit nicht mein Profil. Bestimmt ein netter Mixer.

02.10.2016 - 03.10.2016 A great extended weekend with rum friends. This was a nice event and lots of space between the tables. Only problem was the level of English at some of the exhibitors. I will start with the rums we brought ourselves and then add the ones we tried at the event. Notes Dark in colour. Nose Roasted wood, fruity, alcoholic, earthy. Palate Light, sweet, tobacco, dried fruit, honey, light leather, medium dry. Finish Medium long, wood, dried fruit, sweet, medium dry, fruits.
